Democratic fiscal conservatives say no health deal yet

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The leader of the Democratic fiscal conservatives in the U.S. House of Representatives said on Thursday no agreement had been reached among Democrats on the healthcare reform legislation, but work would continue.

After a nearly three-hour meeting which included White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, President Obama's healthcare reform adviser Nancy-Ann DeParle, and Energy and Commerce Committee chairman Henry Waxman, Representative Mike Ross told reporters "I think we're making progress and that is a good thing." But he said there was no announcement of any agreement and talks would continue.
