NEW DELHI, July 24 (Reuters) - India's Bharat Petroleum Corp (BPCL.BO) on Friday issued a tender to import up to 2 million barrels of sweet crude for loading in September, trade sources said.

Grade offers are due on Wednesday next week with price offers due on Thursday, and they remain valid until Friday, they said.

In its previous tender, the state-refiner bought three grades. It bought 2 million barrels of Azerbaijan's Azeri light crude and a million barrels each of Nigerian Qua Iboe and Yemini Masila grade.

BPCL operates a 240,000 barrels per day (bpd) refinery in Mumbai and a 150,000-bpd refinery in the southern Indian state of Kerala, run by subsidiary Kochi Refineries Ltd.

It also owns a majority stake in a 60,000-bpd refinery in northeast India. (Reporting by Nidhi Verma; Editing by John Mair)
