Samsung Electronics Q2 mobile phone margin dips

SEOUL, July 24 (Reuters) - Samsung Electronics, the world's No. 2 maker of mobile phones, said on Friday its telecom division's consolidated-basis operating profit margin dipped to 10 percent in the second quarter from 11 percent in the first.

Samsung (005930.KS), which is also the world's No. 1 maker of liquid crystal display (LCD) screens, said its LCD business posted a 3 percent profit margin in April-June against a 8 percent loss margin in the first quarter. (Reporting by Kim Yeon-hee and Shin Jieun; Editing by Jonathan Hopfner)
