WASHINGTON, July 24 (Reuters) - Fiscally conservative Democrats have failed to reach agreement with House of Representatives Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Henry Waxman on a proposed healthcare overhaul bill, a leading member of the group said on Friday.

"Still no agreement," Representative Mike Ross said after members of the so-called "Blue Dog" Democratic group met Waxman to discuss his latest proposal to resolve an impasse over the size and scope of healthcare reform legislation. (Reporting by Susan Cornwell; editing by Mohammad Zargham)
