UPDATE 1-Roper Industries posts lower Q2 net

July 28 (Reuters) - Diversified manufacturer Roper Industries Inc (ROP.N) posted a lower quarterly net profit, hurt by weaker sales across most of its segments, and it cut the upper end of its full-year earnings view but raised its full-year operating cash flow forecast. For the second quarter, net income was $59.6 million, or 64 cents a share, compared with $74.5 million, or 79 cents a share, a year ago.
The latest quarter results include a charge of 3 cents a share for restructuring expenses and a gain of 3 cents a share from the sale of certain assets of the satellite communications business.
Net sales fell 15 percent to $504.9 million. Analysts on average were expecting earnings of 63 cents a share, before special items, on revemue of $539.6 million, according to Reuters Estimates.
For the full year, Roper expects to earn $2.60 to $2.72 per share, excluding the impact of restructuring costs and future acquisitions. It had earlier forecast earnings of $2.60 to $2.80 for the full year.
The company raised its full-year operating cash flow outlook to $350 million from $325 million.
