US money mkt fund assets fall by $9 bln-iMoneyNet

NEW YORK, July 29 (Reuters) - U.S. money market fund assets fell by $9 billion in the week ended Tuesday to $3.592 trillion as yields on the funds hovered at or near record lows, the Money Fund Report said on Wednesday.
Taxable money market fund assets fell by $7 billion to $3.144 trillion, while tax-free assets fell by $2 billion to $448.4 billion, according to the report, a service of iMoneyNet of Westborough, Massachusetts.
Yields on taxable money market funds were unchanged at a record low of 0.09 percent, while tax-free yields rose to 0.13 percent from the prior week's record low of 0.11 percent.
