Schneider may have to sell sites for T&D buy-paper

PARIS, July 29 (Reuters) - French electrical engineering firm Schneider (SCHN.PA) may be forced to sell three sites in France for competition reasons if it succeeds with its joint offer with Alstom (ALSO.PA) for the T&D unit of Areva CEPFi.PA, the La Tribune newspaper said.

The paper said labour unions fear the consequences for sites in Macon, Petit-Quevilly, Fabregues and Saint-Sulpice, Montpellier and Saint-Soupplets could be hit becuase of overlaps with T&D activities.
