GE unit bids for rest of Polish BPH bank

WARSAW, July 30 (Reuters) - A unit of General Electric (GE.N) called a 412 million zlotys ($139.1 million) tender on Thursday for the 34.1 percent of Polish bank BPH BPHW.WA it does not already hold, the brokerage managing the bid said on Thursday.

DRB Holdings, which owns the assets of GE Money's Polish arm, has offered 42 zlotys for each BPH share it does not own.

BPH shares rose 1 percent to 49.50 zlotys at market open. (Reporting by Chris Borowski)
