Channel Taps Leading Independent Producer in Mexico

MIAMI, July 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Cinelatino, the leading Spanish-language movie
channel in the United States, today announced that it has entered into a
partnership with Argos Comunicacion, Mexico's leading independent production
company, to produce original television movies exclusively for Cinelatino.

"Argos has a track record for producing the highest-quality feature films and
television product and we are confident these movies will deliver the great
quality and entertainment value that characterize our channel," said Jim
McNamara, President of Cinelatino. "We are excited to be able to offer our
consumers original content designed with their specific interests in mind."

The first phase of the production deal with Argos consists of two television
movies starring a mix of veteran and breakout actors from Mexico, including
Marco Trevino (Capadocia, Malos habitos), Elizabeth Cervantes (Fuera del
cielo), Julio Bekhor (Sea of Dreams), among others. Both movies fall into the
genre of urban thrillers that feature strong characters and surprising twists.

Founded nearly 20 years ago, Argos Comunicacion is one of the oldest
independent production companies in Mexico and is responsible for producing
numerous groundbreaking novelas featuring top Latino talent, including Manolo
Cardona, Humberto Zurita, Lorena Rojas, Ana de la Reguerra, and Dolores
Heredia. In addition to television, Argos has produced a number of
critically-acclaimed blockbuster movies, including Sexo pudor y lagrimas,
Ladies' night, La habitacion azul, Lucia Lucia, and Fuera del cielo.

"Cinelatino has the largest selection of Spanish-language movies available to
the U.S. market and we will continue to acquire the biggest and best feature
films from the top movie distributors," said McNamara. "Our original
productions will complement our extensive library of critically-acclaimed and
box office hits to ensure we continue to offer our consumers the most diverse
and relevant material they have come to expect from the leading
Spanish-language movie channel."

The first of the two Cinelatino-commissioned movies began production this week
and will air this fall. The channel has plans to continue to expand on its
original content production in the coming years.
