China Marine Food Group Develops Four New Products for Consumer Tastes in
Sichuan Area
The Company is Targeting Chengdu and Chongqing for New Sales Opportunities

SHISHI, China, July 30 /PRNewswire-Asia-FirstCall/ -- China Marine Food
Group Ltd. (OTC Bulletin Board: CMFO), a processor of seafood-based snack
foods and fresh and frozen marine catch, today announced the development of
four new seafood-based snack foods designed to enter two major cities in the
Sichuan area, Chengdu and Chongqing.
In March of 2009, China Marine attended the Chengdu Food Fair to showcase
the Company's product line of seafood-based snack foods, research consumer
demand to develop products, and evaluate potential distributor partners in an
area where China Marine currently does not maintain a customer base. As a
result of their market study and consumer taste-testing, China Marine has
developed four new products packaged under the Company's Mingxiang(R) brand
name. These include: spicy sliced octopus, spicy squid head, spicy baby squid
and spicy sliced squid. Each product uses local spices and peppers consistent
to the flavor profiles of foods and consumer preferences in the Sichuan area.
The four new snack foods were sent to a select group of potential
distributors for continued evaluation and feedback prior to their planned
launch throughout China Marine's entire distribution network. The foods are
packaged in a 100 gram multi-serving packages for retail in supermarkets as
well as single-serve packets increasingly popular at convenience store
locations. While testing is ongoing, the Company is pleased to report initial
positive feedback from prospective distributors, dealers and retail end-points
for the new snack foods.
"At the core of penetrating new markets is the development of products to
meet consumer demands and taste preferences. As was the case when entering the
Shanghai market last year, a sweeter product was developed to meet consumer
preferences. The Sichuan area demanded a similar consideration to spice our
snack foods. In addition to Sichuan, our launch of these new items also has
potential in our existing six-province distribution network," said Pengfei
Liu, Chairman and CEO of China Marine. "Pending continued sales efforts in
our target markets of Chengdu and Chongqing, we are confident that we will be
able to add new distribution in the area." Liu concluded.
