Stories From the Golden Age of Fiction By L. Ron Hubbard Airing Saturdays Throughout Greater Los Angeles on CBS Radio Affiliate KFWB 980 HOLLYWOOD, Calif., July 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Recordings of live, multi-cast theatrical versions of pulp fiction short story classics by best-selling author L. Ron Hubbard have now begun airing Saturdays on CBS Radio affiliate KFWB 980, it was announced by Author Services, Inc., Hubbard's literary agency. The "Golden Age Radio Drama Theater" will play on Saturday evenings from 8-10pm as part of KFWB's weekend lifestyle and entertainment programming. The broadcast can be heard in southern California and also will be simulcast on the station's website at www.kfwb.com. The first recorded show to air was the science fiction story, The Great Secret, to be followed this coming week by the adventure thriller, The Drowned City and the sea adventure Mr. Tidwell Gunner. "We wanted to let people hear these incredible audiobook performances and promote our live theatrical productions which we host for the general public every Saturday night at our own theater in Hollywood," said Joni Labaqui, Author Services Public Affairs Director. (goldenagetheater.com) "It has been years since old-time radio shows have been aired on a CBS radio station in LA, so the radio producers were very excited to offer Mr. Hubbard's stories in this format," said Labaqui. "Because these productions are of much higher quality than those of old-time radio, it's more like listening to a movie." L. Ron Hubbard audiobook stories have been airing daily on Sirius-XM Book Radio (Sirius channel 117, XM channel 163) for the past several months on a show called "Tales from the Golden Age." The Great Secret, Drowned City, and Mr. Tidwell Gunner are titles contained in the Stories from the Golden Age fiction series, a line of 80 books and audiobooks containing 153 stories written by Hubbard in the 1930s and '40s, being published by Hollywood-based Galaxy Press. L. Ron Hubbard was regarded as one of the most prolific and popular writers of the Golden Age writing these stories in all popular literary genres using his own and 15 pen names.
