CA Names Marianne Budnik Chief Marketing Officer

Former EMC Marketing Executive Selected to Lead Worldwide Marketing
Organization

ISLANDIA, N.Y., July 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- CA, Inc. (Nasdaq: CA) today
named Marianne Budnik as senior vice president and chief marketing officer
reporting to George Fischer, CA's executive vice president for global sales
and marketing.

"Marianne's broad international experience, her thorough knowledge of the
technology industry and her long track record of delivering marketing results
makes her uniquely qualified to lead CA's global marketing organization to the
next level," said Fischer. "She will be instrumental in furthering our efforts

Budnik will be responsible for the Company's overall marketing strategy and
integrated market initiatives including CA's corporate marketing, field
marketing and product marketing activities.

software product marketing. Before joining EMC, Budnik spent a decade managing
full-service direct marketing agencies, where she had overall responsibility
for the management, growth and profitability of clients' marketing programs.

Budnik holds an MBA from Boston University and earned a bachelor's degree from
Babson College.
