Fairchild Semiconductor - 2009 Green Energy Sponsor of the TD Banknorth Beach to Beacon 10K

Fairchild Semiconductor is excited to be the first Green Energy Sponsor of the
TD Banknorth Beach to Beacon 10K! Fairchild`s sponsorship enables the race to
expand its Green Program, which will include recycling and composting, using
eco-friendly portable toilets, recycling shoes and paperless communications for
the race.

Reducing the global carbon footprint and wasted energy is a major concern around
the world. The use of electronic devices has increased as more people are now

About the TD Banknorth Beach to Beacon 10K: Saturday, August 1, 2009 marks the
12th annual Beach to Beacon 10K. The course takes place in Cape Elizabeth, Maine
beginning at Crescent Beach along Route 77 and ending 6.2 miles later in Fort
Williams at the stunning Portland Head lighthouse. Joan Benoit Samuelson, a
native of Cape Elizabeth and winner of Olympic gold in the first women`s
marathon in 1984, founded the race in 1998 as a way to support Maine children by
