ID Launches Network's First Investigative Newsmagazine, ON THE CASE WITH PAULA
ZAHN
- Zahn Lands Exclusive First-Ever Interviews with Pivotal Figures -

SILVER SPRING, Md., July 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Investigation Discovery and
renowned journalist Paula Zahn are joining forces for Zahn's return to
primetime television with a hard-hitting newsmagazine, ON THE CASE WITH PAULA
ZAHN. In this new weekly series, Zahn steps away from the traditional anchor
chair and into the field to interview the pivotal figures shaping the stories
covered in ON THE CASE. Zahn weaves together the twists and turns of these
cases in order to reveal the heart of the story. Her gripping interviews,
including several exclusives where people are speaking for the very first
time, lift the secrecy on acts of deceit, malice and revenge. ON THE CASE
WITH PAULA ZAHN makes its worldpremiere on Sunday, October 18 at 10 PM ET on
ID.

"Paula Zahn's journalistic expertise and passion for the truth resonate in
this new series, which is dedicated to investigating fascinating stories of
perseverance, courage and justice," said Henry Schleiff, president and general
manager of ID. "ON THE CASE WITH PAULA ZAHN represents ID's first original
newsmagazine and reflects the network's core brand attributes of investigating
life's mysteries through riveting storytelling."

ON THE CASE WITH PAULA ZAHN unravels shocking investigations that have
dominated headlines and intriguing original stories uncovered exclusively for
ID's audience. To date, ON THE CASE has secured three stories where the
subject's side will be heard in exclusive, first-ever television interviews
including:

-- Ashley Reeves, a high school honor student who was left for dead by a
teacher, with whom she was involved outside of school. After the
teacher, Samson Shelton, confessed to murder and disclosed the
location
in a Belleville, Ill. park where he had dumped Reeves' body, the
police's recovery operation quickly turned into a life-saving
effort when they discovered that Reeves was still alive, having spent
over 35 hours in a semi-conscious state in the middle of the woods.
-- Dawn Silvernail, a convicted murderer who gunned down her former
lover,
Susan Fassett, in a church parking lot in Pleasant Valley, N.Y.
Silvernail's trial exposed the sordid truth of infidelity, betrayal
and dominance, which had led to a depraved plot of murder.

-- Lee Ann Reidel, a convicted murderer who to this day maintains her
innocence in a twisted plot of murder and mistaken identity. Reidel
was
convicted of hiring her boyfriend and a friend to murder her
ex-husband,
but the plan went awry when the ex-husband's business partner was
mistakenly targeted and shot outside their Long Island, N.Y. fitness
        center they co-owned.

In each episode of ON THE CASE, Zahn tracks the real-life drama of each story
by featuring the personal points of view of the people closest to the case,
including exploring the motivation and thought processes of the men and women
responsible for these crimes. The series includes perspective from law
enforcement investigators, families of the victims and the incarcerated, and
lawyers representing both sides of legal proceedings. Zahn's interviews
reveal fascinating details that uncover the truth while presenting the
spectrum of viewpoints directly touched by these cases.

A 30-year news veteran, journalist Paula Zahn most recently anchored for CNN,
where she was based in the network's New York bureau and hosted the primetime
show Paula Zahn Now. Before joining CNN, Zahn was the host of The Edge with
