Actor Jude Law to be father to fourth child
LOS ANGELES |
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Oscar-nominated actor Jude Law will become a father for the fourth time in the fall, his representative said on Wednesday, but the mother's identity has yet to be disclosed.
"Jude Law can confirm that, following a relationship last year, he has been advised that he is to be the father of a child due in the fall of this year," his representative said.
"Mr. Law is no longer in a relationship with the individual concerned, but he intends to be a fully supportive part of the child's life. This is an entirely private matter and no other statements will be made."
British-born Law was married to actress Sadie Frost from 1997 to 2003 and they had three children.
Law earned Oscar nominations for his roles in 2003's "Cold Mountain" and 1999's "The Talented Mr. Ripley." He stars in "Sherlock Holmes" due out on Christmas Day, playing the famous detective's assistant, Dr. Watson.
