WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Barack Obama is pleased at the provisions in legislation in the House of Representatives that would slap new limits on U.S. executive pay, White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said on Thursday.

The House bill would give shareholders the right to cast non-binding, annual votes on executive pay and empower regulators to bar pay structures that encourage excessive risks at financial institutions.
