TOKYO Aug 3 (Reuters) - Japan's Panasonic Corp (6752.T) said on Monday it aims to win approval from anti-monopoly regulators for its bid for Sanyo Electric Co Ltd 6764.T by September. Panasonic is planning to spend at least 400 billion yen ($4.2 billion) to take control of Sanyo, the world's largest rechargeable battery maker, in a move to strengthen its presence in the rapidly growing "green energy" business.
