Easy to Use Controls With the Core Features Educators Want
FREMONT, Calif.--(Business Wire)--
Lumens Integration, Inc. (http://www.LumensEducation.com) today announced the
availability of the Lumens DC166, the latest portable visual presenter in their
Ladibug line that combines a large 14"x11" platen with high-quality 6x optics
for stellar image quality and the powerful features used most often in the
classroom. The Lumens DC166 includes full image rotation and a book mode, two
features that make it indispensable for the classroom.

"The DC166 provides the perfect mix of image quality, usability, features with a
small size," said Tsailing Merrem, Lumens` vice president of marketing. "The
DC166 is replacing one of our most popular models and we knew we had to really
raise the bar with new features to live up to expectations like we have in the
past with many industry first features such as hardware-based video recording
and FastSlide, while keeping the price at the same level to appeal to our
current users."

Along with the powerful included 6x optical zoom, the Lumens DC166 provides true
SXGA output, delivering 66% more image detail than XGA resolution. The higher
output resolution works in conjunction with full image rotation and auto-focus,
making it easy for educators to integrate high-quality visual content into the
classroom every day.

The DC166 is the only visual presenter in this price range to offer
hardware-based standalone video recording. With a push of a button, teachers can
record videos directly to an SD card. This eliminates extra steps or the need to
connect to a computer and load software in order to record lessons as is
required on some document cameras. Lumens DC166 also provides both external and
internal memory. A built-in hard drive holds 120 JPEG images, while an SD card
slot makes recording videos and back up easy.

Built on the same powerful platform as the high-end models, the DC166 Ladibug
has exceptional image quality, and image handling performance. The visual
presenter comes with FastSlide technology and can load images in as little as .2
seconds making it easier for teachers to keep lessons moving quickly.

The DC166 also includes queue Software version 4, with support for Windows 2000,
XP, Vista, Mac OS X and Linux along with powerful new capabilities for video,
audio and still picture recording and annotation, controlled by Lumens familiar
remote control.

With a compact form factor and lightweight construction, the Lumens DC166 was
designed with portability in mind. Along with portability comes flexibility with
easy connections to TVs, monitors, projectors and interactive whiteboards, so
teachers can bring the DC166 into their classroom and have it up and running
with minimal downtime.

Highlights of Lumens` DC166 specifications include:

* SXGA resolution;
* 6x optical zoom;
* Internal memory that holds up 120 JPEG images;
