WASHINGTON, DC, Aug 06 (MARKET WIRE) -- The board of directors of the National Business Group on Health announced today its appointment of Pamela Kimmet, senior vice president of human resources at Coca-Cola Enterprises Inc. (CCE), as its new chair effective July 15, 2009. Kimmet has served as director of the Business Group since March 2004 and succeeds Harry Spencer, who was chair for the past 4 years. "The Board has tremendous confidence in Pam's great experience and leadership qualities, especially at this critical time when national health care reform is at the center of the national agenda," said Helen Darling, president of the Business Group. Inc. and senior vice president of human resources for Lucent Technologies, now Alcatel-Lucent. Previously, she held leadership positions at Citigroup, and General Motors Corporation. Kimmet holds a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial and labor relations from Cornell University and a Master of Business Administration from Michigan State University.
