WASHINGTON Aug 10 (Reuters) - Renewable energy company Covanta Holding Corp (CVA.N) has received U.S. antitrust approval to acquire waste incinerator facilities from Veolia Environnement SA's (VIE.PA) North American subsidiary, U.S. officials said on Monday.

Antitrust authorities completed their review of the $450 million deal without taking any action to block it, the U.S. Federal Trade Commission said in a notice.

In July, Covanta said it would buy Veolia's energy-from-waste facilities in California, Florida, Canada, New York and Pennsylvania and said the acquisition would add an estimated $60 million in operating cash flow during 2010. (Reporting by Julie Vorman, editing by Gerald E. McCormick)
