HONG KONG Aug 10 (Reuters) - Hong Kong shares finished 2.7 percent higher at an 11-month closing high on Monday as Chinese bank stocks recovered from last week's losses, triggered by worries of a clampdown on lending in China.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index .HSI finished 554.15 points higher at 20,929.52, its highest closing level since September 2008.

The China Enterprises Index .HSCE, which represents top locally listed mainland Chinese stocks, was up 2.5 percent at 11,901.65. (Reporting by Parvathy Ullatil; Editing by Jacqueline Wong)
