Exxon says Joliet refinery running normally
NEW YORK |
NEW YORK Aug 10 (Reuters) - Exxon Mobil (XOM.N) said on Monday its 238,000 barrel-per-day oil refinery in Joliet, Illinois, was running normally after repairs.
An acid leak at the Chicago-area refinery's alkylation unit last Thursday seriously injured one worker, who remains in hospital, and had caused only minimal production impact, the company said.
Federal investigators are probing the cause of the leak, Exxon confirmed.
