Dollar falls 1 percent against the yen

NEW YORK Aug 11 (Reuters) - The dollar fell more than 1 percent against the yen on Tuesday to trade at the session low as investors waited for the policy statement at the conclusion of a two-day Federal Reserve policy meeting on Wednesday.

The dollar was down 1 percent at 96.15 yen after going as low as 96.11 yen JPY=, according to Reuters data. The euro also slid against the yen, last trading down 1.1 percent at 135.78 yen EURJPY=R after going as low as 135.68 yen. (Reporting by Nick Olivari; Editing by Theodore d'Afflisio)
