 NEW YORK, Aug 11 (Reuters) - Short interest on the New York Stock Exchange
fell 10.3 percent in late July, the exchange said on Tuesday, suggesting a
decrease in bearish sentiment in the stock market in the wake of its recent

 Below are the five NYSE stocks that experienced the largest increases and
decreases in their short positions in the second half of July, according to
information released by the exchange.
 The five companies with the largest overall short positions are also
listed.
 The latest date is as of July 31, while the previous period's data is as of
July 15.
