NEW YORK Aug 11 (Reuters) - Holly Corp HOC.N plans to ramp up rates at its 85,000-barrel-per-day Tulsa, Oklahoma refinery, the company said in a quarterly earnings conference call on Monday.

Holly plans to run the refinery in the range of 70,000 to 75,000 bpd in September, up from 54,000 bpd in June, around 63,000 bpd in July, and about 65,000 bpd in August, Holly chairman and CEO Matt Clifton said.

Holly acquired the refinery from Sunoco Inc (SUN.N) for $65 million in June and plans to spend $150 million to add a diesel de-sulfurization unit to meet federal regulations requiring ultra-low-sulfur diesel. (Reporting by Rebekah Kebede; Editing by John Picinich)
