Wizards sign ex-San Antonio forward Oberto

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Washington Wizards added some depth to their inside game by signing free agent forward Fabricio Oberto, the team said Tuesday.
The 6-foot-10, 245-pound Argentine has career averages of 3.6 points and 3.9 rebounds a game during four seasons with the San Antonio Spurs.
Oberto, a starter on the Spurs' 2007 NBA championship team, was traded to Detroit in a five-player deal earlier this summer but was subsequently waived by the Pistons. Terms of Oberto's contract with the Wizards were not released.
