FACTBOX: Latest in Americas Cup dispute
(Reuters) - Feuding sailing rivals Alinghi and BMW Oracle are due to appear in a New York court on Monday to try to resolve a dispute over yachting's top prize, the America's Cup.
Here are some key facts about the dispute:
* Defending champions Alinghi have said challengers BMW Oracle must present arguments about when they should produce official certification for the boat it plans to race.
* The two rivals have been locked in a legal dispute for two years over the terms of the running of the 33rd race.
* BMW Oracle's Golden Gate Yacht Club (GGYC) contests the way Alinghi has set up the next America's Cup, arguing that it unfairly favors the Swiss defender.
* Under the America's Cup rules, the winner decides where, when and how to race the next event, agreeing the details with the first yacht club to challenge them for the "Auld Mug."
* The next America's Cup competition had been scheduled for 2009 but has been delayed until February 2010 and will be held off the United Arab Emirates.
* Alinghi had initially agreed to race Club Nautico Espanol de Vela (CNEV), a Spanish team formed as a club just days before submitting its challenge for the America's Cup.
* BMW Oracle contested CNEV's claim in a 2007 lawsuit and earlier this year New York state's highest court rejected the Spanish team and picked BMW Oracle as the official challenger.
