COPENHAGEN Aug 12 (Reuters) - Denmark's Genmab (GEN.CO) announced positive results from a Phase II study of Arzerra (ofatumumab) to treat chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL) in previously untreated patients.

Arzerra, which is being co-developed by GlaxoSmithKline (GSK.L), was given in combination with fludarabine and cyclophosphamide (FC) to 61 patients.

The overall response rate was 77 percent in a 500 mg treatment group and 73 percent in a 1000 mg treatment group. There were no unexpected safety findings, Genmab said late on Tuesday.
