India's L&T gets $828 mln power equipment order

NEW DELHI Aug 12 (Reuters) - India's Larsen & Toubro (LART.BO) has got a contract worth 40 billion rupees ($828 million) to supply power equipment to Jaiprakash Power Ventures, the two firms said in a statement on Wednesday.

The equipment, for a 1,320 megawatt power plant, would be sourced from Larsen's joint ventures with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (7011.T). ($1=48.3 rupees) (Reporting by Devidutta Tripathy)
