 * In Kuala Lumpur, the index .KLSE eased 0.48 percent on
Wednesday. Among the losers, are KNM Group (KNMP.KL), which
dropped 5.36 percent and Maybank (MBBM.KL) with a 3.25 percent

 * U.S. stocks powered higher on Wednesday as the Federal
Reserve said it saw signs of a more stable economy. [.N]
 * Oil rose on Wednesday as stock market gains raised optimism
about the economy, offsetting concerns about rising inventories

 ASIA MARKETS NEWS - The South Korean won led a decline in
Asian currencies on Wednesday as investors sold regional stocks
ahead of U.S. Federal Reserve's policy decision, with the
Philippine peso also hurt by suspected intervention. [EMRG/FRX]
-  Southeast Asian markets ended mostly lower on Wednesday, led
by Jakarta, as investors locked in gains from a recent rally
and on caution ahead of assessments from the Federal Reserves
