CEZ says expects 2010 results similar to 2009

PRAGUE, Aug 13 (Reuters) - Czech electricity producer CEZ
(CEZPsp.PR) expects 2010 results to be similar to this year,
Chief Financial Officer Martin Novak said on Thursday.
"It is still valid that we expect similar results next
year," Novak told a news conference following the release of
second quarter results.
"Electricity prices are similar or lower for 2010 compared
with 2009. That should lead us to lower revenue and profits, on
the other hand we are very well able to compensate for that by
cost savings."
Earlier on Thursday CEZ confirmed its full-year 2009
guidance of a 6 percent rise in net profit before minority
shares are deducted of 50.2 billion crowns, and earnings before
interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) to rise by
2 percent.
