TABLE-Sri Lanka NDB Q2 group net up 45.7 pct

 COLOMBO, Aug 13 (Reuters) - Group results for Sri Lanka's
National Development Bank NDB.CM for the three months ended
June 30, 2009, as released on Thursday (in millions of rupees
unless stated):

 Net profit                 529.8           363.6
 Net Income               1,861.2         1,342.0
 Net Interest Income        996.8           912.7
 NOTE - Results are rounded up. National Development Bank
Ltd merged with its commercial banking unit NDB Bank as part of
a growth strategy to focus on financing for small and
medium-sized businesses as well as venturing into retail
banking.
