Slovakia - Factors To Watch on Aug 13

BRATISLAVA, Aug 13 (Reuters) - Here are news stories, press
reports and events to watch which may affect Slovak financial
markets on Thursday.

Q2 GDP FLASH ESTIMATE

The Statistics Office will publish the year-on-year GDP
growth flash estimate for the second quarter, 0700 GMT. Analysts
forecast a 6.1 percent fall, followin a 5.6 percent decline seen
in the first quarter.

JULY CPI ABOVE FORECASTS ON HOUSING

Slovak consumer prices rose by 0.2 percent month-on-month in
July, putting the annual headline inflation rate at 2.5 percent,
the Statistics Office said on Wednesday.

ALL BODIES OF MINE BLAST VICTIMS' FOUND

Rescue teams found the last body, late on Wednesday, of one
of the victims of the Monday's explosion in a coal mine
Handlova, which killed 20 mine workers in country's worst mining

Prime Minister Robert Fico said there could be a third wave
of a car scrap scheme, scrapping an old car and buy a new one,
if the downturn would further deepen, but added that current

KIA TO HIRE MORE WORKERS

Kia Motors Slovakia, assembly factory of the South Korean
car group Kia Motors Corp. (000270.KS), said plans to hire 300
new workers, boosting the count to 3,000, next years due to
plans to boost production.

RYANAIR ADDS NEW ROUTES
Ireland-based low-cost airline Ryanair said was adding new
routes to Liverpool and Bologna from Slovak capital Bratislava
starting October.
