Black Eyed Peas, Jason Mraz tie Hot 100 records

LOS ANGELES/NEW YORK (Billboard)- The Black Eyed Peas have tied a Hot 100 singles chart record set five years ago by Usher, logging a 19th consecutive week at No. 1 on Wednesday.

The hip-hop band led the field with "I Gotta Feeling," whose seven-week reign followed a 12-week run by "Boom Boom Pow." Both tunes come from its recent No. 1 album "The E.N.D."

Usher's 19-week run was with his 2004 hits "Yeah!" and "Burn."

Meanwhile, singer/songwriter Jason Mraz also tied a record: The longest Hot 100 chart run. His tune "I'm Yours" jumped 12 places to No. 23 in its 69th week, tying LeAnn Rimes' 1997 hit "How Do I Live."

Back in the top 10, Taylor Swift's "You Belong With Me" rose one place to No. 2, and also became the teen star's fourth No. 1 on the Hot Country Songs chart.

Canadian rapper Drake followed at No. 3 on the Hot 100 with "Best I Ever Had," while R&B songwriter Keri Hilson remained at No. 4 with "Knock You Down" featuring Kanye West and Ne-Yo. Tennessee rockers Kings of Leon held at No. 5 with "Use Somebody."

Jay Sean featuring Lil Wayne's "Down" was also unchanged, at No. 6. Cobra Starship featuring Leighton Meester rose three to No. 7. Sean Kingston's "Fire Burning" slipped one to No. 8, and Pitbull's "Hotel Room Service" jumped six to No. 9. The Black Eyed Peas' "Boom Boom Pow" fell two to No. 10.

Disney starlet Selena Gomez' "Magic" was this week's top debut, at No. 61. The song last appeared on the Hot 100 in 1975, when Pilot's original version peaked at No. 5.

For the third time, Madonna and Whitney Houston debuted on the Hot 100 at the same time with new songs. Madonna's "Celebration" entered the Hot 100 at No. 71, while Houston's "I Look To You" arrived at No. 74. This marked Madonna's 55th entry on the Hot 100, and Houston's 38th.
