SCOTIABANK (BNS.TO)
Scotiabank said it has appointed Wendy Hannam as executive vice president for sales and service, products and marketing for international banking. Hannam is currently executive vice-president of personal banking and distribution, Canada
Dieter Jentsch, currently executive vice president for commercial banking, has been named executive vice president for Latin America.
STANDARD CHARTERED (STAN.L)
Standard Chartered Bank appointed Ashish Mittal as global head of commodities sales. Mittal was previously the bank's regional head of South and South East Asia sales for financial markets.
ROYAL BANK OF SCOTLAND (RBS.L)
RBS announced that Brian Lancaster has joined its global banking and markets (GBM) Americas division as head of mortgage-backed securities, commercial mortgage-backed securities and asset-backed securities strategies.
Lancaster was most recently with Wachovia Capital Markets LLC, where he served as chief investment officer in its real estate division.
ZURICH FINANCIAL SERVICES GROUP (ZURN.VX)
Zurich Financial Services Group announced the appointment of Alan Fairhead to the post of chief underwriting officer for Europe general insurance, effective Sept. 1. Fairhead is currently chief underwriting officer for global corporate.
CITIGROUP INC (C.N)
Citigroup said it appointed Ng Yong Yin as head of country research for Malaysia. Yong Yin was the senior analyst covering the Malaysian utilities, construction, infrastructure and transportation sectors.
NOMURA HOLDINGS (8604.T)
Japanese investment bank Nomura said it has hired Wai Kee Choong as its new head of equity research for Malaysia from Citigroup (C.N). [ID:nSGC001269]
AON CORP AOC.N
Aon Consulting, a part of Aon Corp, the largest global insurance broker by market value, said it hired Alan Pang as research director for the Global Research Center.
JANUS CAPITAL GROUP (JNS.N)
