Polish Treasury to hold talks with RWE on Enea stake

WARSAW | Mon Aug 17, 2009 12:07pm EDT

WARSAW Aug 17 (Reuters) - Poland's treasury ministry will conduct exclusive talks with German utility RWE (RWEG.DE) for a 67 percent stake in the country's only listed utility, Enea ENAE.WA, the ministry said on Monday.

Last week the ministry said it had received two bids from unnamed entities for the stake of ENEA, after Sweden's Vattenfall [VATN.UL] and Czech CEZ (CEZPsp.PR) decided not to bid for the stake worth about $2.3 billion on the market.
