JEFFERIES GROUP INC (JEF.N)

Jefferies hired specialty pharmaceuticals analyst Corey Davis from Natixis Bleichroeder. Davis said in an email on Monday that he resigned from Natixis on Friday and started Monday at Jefferies.

ANDREWS KURTH LLP

Law firm Andrews Kurth said Texas Supreme Court Justice Scott Brister will join the firm as a partner, based in Austin. This will mark Justice Brister's second tenure with Andrews Kurth, following practice in the litigation section of the firm's Houston office from 1981 to 1989.

GFI GROUP INC GFIG.O

GFI Securities LLC, a subsidiary of GFI Group, said its Octagon division hired Eddie Bakker as head of U.S. equity sales trading. Bakker was previously at CLSA/Calyon Securities for six years where he held roles as head of sales trading for the Asia and U.S. equities.

UBS (UBSN.VX)

Swiss bank UBS AG (UBSN.VX) said it has hired Olivia Ker and Tom Price to join the global commodities team, Bloomberg reported. Ker and Price are both from Bank of America Merrill Lynch & Co.

CITADEL INVESTMENT GROUP

Hedge fund Citadel, which launched an investment banking group earlier this year, has hired a senior Citigroup Inc (C.N) financial institutions investment banker, a source familiar with the matter said on Friday.

A Citigroup spokesman confirmed Craig Stine, a managing director in the bank's financial institutions investment banking team, had left the firm. [ID:nN14292351]

Bank holding company UCBH Holdings Inc said it has appointed Joseph Vaez to its board of directors. [ID:nWNBB6253]

CHEYNE CAPITAL MANAGEMENT LLP

Cheyne Capital Management LLP said it has appointed Paul Ruddleston and Paul Keohane as partners in the firm to manage the Cheyne Equity Macro Fund.
