Technology Industry Veteran Selected to Drive OEM Relationships and Alliances
TAMPA, Fla.--(Business Wire)--
Persystent Software, developers of the fastest PC recovery products on the
market, restoring corrupted, changed, or missing OS and application files in 30
seconds or less, today announced the appointment of Karl Chen as Vice President
of Business Development. In this role, Chen will assess, recommend and lead the
execution of OEM attachment strategies and partnership licensing agreements with
PC and server systems vendors, key software vendors, major desktop
virtualization vendors and MSP software providers.

"Karl brings the right mix of business development, M&A and OEM experience to
aggressively direct Persystent`s resources towards forming strategic
partnerships which expand our market reach. Our unique PC self-healing
technology can significantly complement and differentiate our partner`s software
offerings," said Joe Loughry, president and CEO. "His track record for driving
business development for industry-leading technology companies and emerging
fast-growth businesses is a perfect fit with Persystent`s strategic growth
goals."

Persystent Software solutions ensure that workplace PCs always run smoothly by
identifying and resolving any operating system and application-related issues,
automatically or on demand, every time the machine starts up. With Persystent,
companies can reduce help-desk calls and maintain the reliability of a company`s
most important worker productivity tool. Most recently, the company announced
the availability of Persystent Solo 6.0, ideal for microbusinesses with less
than 25 computers and for managed service providers (MSPs) overseeing remote and
mobile PCs under contracts.

Chen brings more than 25 years of experience in enterprise storage, systems and
software businesses, serving in executive-level positions for top technology
companies such as HP, Dell and Compaq. He helped grow BMC Software by forging
key strategic partnerships with Oracle, Microsoft and IBM. While at LeftHand
Networks, the company recorded record revenues, and was successfully acquired by
HP.

Chen says he sees enormous potential for the core, patented repair technology
found throughout the Persystent product line. "I look forward to leveraging my
experience with OEM sales and alliances to help bring the Persystent solutions
to a wider audience."

Chen holds his MBA degree from Bentley College.

About Persystent Software Solutions

Persystent Software solutions ensure that end-user desktop and laptop computers
are always available and fully functional-whether in the office or offsite.

When computers are down, so is business productivity. Persystent Software
developed the only automated PC recovery products on the market with unsurpassed
speed, restoring application and operating system (O/S) files that are
corrupted, changed, or missing, in less than 30 seconds.

Unlike any other disaster recovery provider, Persystent Software offers the only
solutions that restore degraded systems to a working state whether the PC is on
or off the network, and even if the O/S will not start.

Nothing, including viruses, malware or other unauthorized programs can stop a
Persystent PC from returning to its desired configuration. By simply rebooting
the system, either automatically or on demand, Persystent Software eliminates
the need for manual PC re-imaging while preserving user data and settings during
the restoration process.

In addition to keeping end users productive, Persystent Software enables IT
staffs to control PC damage, reduce help desk calls, enforce compliance, and
improve the success rate of software patches and updates. Additional benefits
include energy savings through reduced PC power consumption via an automatic
shutdown feature.

Founded in 2002, Persystent Software solutions have been instrumental to
organizations across North America including government, health care and
education sectors with limited resources to support a high ratio of employees to
IT staff and 24/7 business uptime.
