IRVINE, Calif., Aug. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Accenx, a leading provider of health
information exchange and interoperability solutions, announces that the fully
managed, remotely hosted solution of Initiate Patient(TM) at OhioHealth, a 17
hospital health system based in Columbus, OH, is now in production.

Accenx and Initiate Systems, Inc. partnered earlier this year to have Accenx
offer a hosted version of their solution. Initiate Patient is used as an
enterprise master person index (EMPI) for healthcare organizations and
government agencies to transform critical business processes by delivering
higher quality information to them. Initiate Patient delivers a comprehensive,
single view of patients to end-users in real time at the point-of-care.

"This unique interoperable health deployment offers a great alternative to
health systems. In these economic times, available capital can be scarce, but
our goals to better patient experience are always plenty," stated Mrunal Shah,
MD, ABFM, Vice President of Physician Technology and OhioHealth Information
Services." Accenx' fully managed, remotely hosted Initiate Patient solution
not only reduced the total cost of owning this valuable solution, but also
allowed for a more rapid implementation. Their team quickly resolved any
integration issue, leaving us only needing to continue work as usual."

"We are pleased to be able to offer the Initiate Patient EMPI on the Accenx
interoperability platform," said David Cheng, CEO of Accenx. "We know that
budgets can be tight. We hope that OhioHealth's experience will provide an
excellent example of how having a cost-effective alternative solution is of
great value to any health system who is looking for a fast and seamless
solution that won't be a burden on their staff to manage, since Accenx takes
care of everything."

The hosted Initiate Patient offering is available through either Initiate
Systems or Accenx. Healthcare organizations interested in the joint solution
can contact either organization for more information.
