'The Beast That Was, And Is Not, And Yet Is': New Book Offers Prophetic
Interpretation of Controversial Religious Topics

HOUSTON, Aug. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- In his provocative new book, "The Beast That
Was, And Is Not, And Yet Is" (published by AuthorHouse), Melvin Winfrey offers
his own interpretation of the Bible by examining the Books of Daniel and
Revelations, presenting a valuable resource for anyone looking to expand their
views on Christianity and its message. Winfrey says:

"This book is about these four great beasts that came up out of the
sea or out of the earth. It tells how they will leave a path of
destruction upon the earth, upon mankind. This destruction will cause
great suffering, such that men have never witnessed before. We are
watching the first beast now, the lion with the eagle's wings."

"The Beast That Was, And Is Not, And Yet Is," Winfrey's first book, is
Winfrey's translation of the Bible's prophecy as well as how it ties into
today's social and political events. Winfrey breaks down multiple sections of
the Books of Daniel and Revelations, with his own analytical observations of
their true meaning. As stated by Winfrey, "It gives readers details about
what's coming in the last days."

Winfrey equates the "four beasts" from the bible -- the lion with eagle's
wings, the bear, the leopard and the 10-horned beast, with major political
powers in the world which include the United States and Russia.

"The four winds of the heaven are the four great beasts, and these
four great beasts will fight upon the earth and make war with the
saints. These four beasts, these four kings, will make war with the
nations. . .that's all God doing because people have sinned against
him. People have to be punished because they have not repented."

In addition to his observations on the scriptures of these two books, Daniel
and Revelations, Winfrey also states that the religious figures today, most
specifically in the Baptist and Pentecostal denominations, are not spreading
the true word of God.

"Satan will work 'with all power and signs and lying wonders' like
all of the lying preachers, teachers, and prophets of today. They
will say that they are telling the truth. So why then, within the
next month, six months, or year, will they change their words or say
something different about the verses in the bible?...God's word does
not change. The truth does not change."

Winfrey's use of biblical scriptures in combination with his controversial
opinions on the interpretation of these scriptures by others make this book an
interesting read for people of all walks of life.
