Enerpulse Releases Pulstar(R) Generation 3

Unique drop-in replacement for spark plugs improves engine performance and
reduces fuel consumption

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., Aug. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Ignition products company
Enerpulse, Inc. has released a new generation (G3) of Pulstar(R) pulse plugs
offering improvements in durability, power and fuel economy.

Pulstar(R) pulse plugs, the first capacitor-enhanced spark plugs, are the most
significant technological advancement in spark plug design in the past 100
years. Using the conservation-of-energy principle, Pulstar(R) pulse plugs have
demonstrated, through independent third party testing, their ability to
improve ignition efficiency from less than two percent to over 50 percent,
resulting in more consistent and efficient combustion.

Improvements in the manufacturing process combined with design changes have
enhanced the durability of the new pulse plug. By increasing insulator density
and relocating the capacitive assembly, durability of the Pulstar(R) G3 has
increased by over 400% over the G2 version. In addition, manufacturing
refinements to the core components during assembly of the sealed insulator
have resulted in greater energy density of the spark discharge, improving
ignition with a resulting increase in throttle response.

President and CTO Louis Camilli states that the new design has allowed for a
reduction in coupling losses and improved the electrical to plasma transfer
efficiency of the pulse plug. In simple terms, more electrical energy in the
spark results in more combustion energy harvested which is manifested in more
engine power from the same amount of fuel.

Customers are enthusiastic about the new Pulstar(R) G3. Burton Motors
executive Lou Bledsoe writes, "... put the new Pulstar(R) in the 2001 Corvette
and picked up 10HP and 17 ft/lbs of torque over stock during a dyno test."
Another customer, Steve Lucas, says, "We now have them (G3) in our '07 Saturn
Greenline Hybrid with the 2.4 VVT Engine and can honestly say we have
dramatically increased our MPG. It has increased the mileage from an average
of 29 mpg to over 34, an average increase of 20 percent".
