Autonomy and Verdasys Expand Strategic Partnership for Delivering Information
Protection and Risk Management Offerings
WALTHAM, Mass.--(Business Wire)--
Verdasys, Inc. the leading provider of Enterprise Information Protection (EIP)
for the Global 2000, today announced that Autonomy (LSE: AU), a global leader in
information protection software for the enterprise, has renewed its OEM
agreement with Verdasys to extend their strategic partnership. Verdasys
leverages Autonomy`s core infrastructure software, the Intelligent Data
Operating Layer (IDOL), to power Verdasys Digital Guardian, a content inspection
and data classification solution used by leading financial services, healthcare,
manufacturing, and technology companies.

The first integration of the Autonomy technology and the Digital Guardian
product was in November 2006, offering content inspection, discovery and
classification of sensitive data on networks, email, host machines and servers
across the extended enterprise for data at rest, in use, and in motion. Over
that time, this integrated technology has been successfully deployed by over 100
customers and to more than 300,000 users worldwide, including several very large
implementations with government institutions in both the US and abroad.

"Verdasys` Digital Guardian solution benefits from the rich capabilities of the
Autonomy IDOL engine, which includes powerful language support and highly
accurate detection capabilities," said Seth Birnbaum, Chief Executive Officer of
Verdasys. "These technologies have been combined to create the most
differentiated and comprehensive solution in the EIP market, and have allowed us
to accelerate the momentum of our business across multiple industry verticals
and geographies."

"We are proud to help Verdasys deliver such a strong and comprehensive product
to the EIP market", said Stouffer Egan, Chief Executive Officer of Autonomy Inc.
U.S. "The rapid uptake of the product is a result of the innovative design of
the Verdasys Digital Guardian architecture and the power of IDOL`s Meaning-Based
Computing technology. We look forward to continuing our very successful
relationship with Verdasys as we deliver innovations that meet the evolving
needs of the data loss prevention market."
