NEWPORT BEACH, Calif.--(Business Wire)--
The TriZetto Group, Inc. today announced that all five early adopters of
TriZetto`s Treatment Cost Navigator (TCN) application, including Providence
Health Plans and PacificSource Health Plans, have completed implementations,
gone live and are beginning to provide treatment pricing transparency to nearly
5 million consumers across the Northwest. TriZetto also has concurrently
implemented its Provider POS DirectTM application for three of the five
healthcare payers, enabling real-time information and transaction processing for
providers at the point-of-service.

"TriZetto`s Treatment Cost Navigator is the category killer application for
healthcare cost transparency," said Dave Pinkert, TriZetto`s senior vice
president of product management for Constituent Web Solutions. "TCN is a world
apart from every other treatment cost application in the market."

A simple online utility for members, the TCN application determines a member`s
out-of-pocket liability for an office visit or procedure by factoring in the
individual`s eligibility, co-pays, co-insurance and progress toward meeting
deductibles, as well as the price discount that the payer negotiated with the
provider. Plus, the TCN application provides cost information about treatment
options from providers both in- and out-of-network, empowering members to make
the most informed decisions about their care. The TCN application is the newest
component in TriZetto`s full suite of Constituent Web Solutions that improves
information sharing between a health plan, patients and providers.

With implementations for the five early adopters completed in as little as 12
weeks, the health plans report that TriZetto`s TCN application is running
smoothly.

"We think a cost estimator is an important part of our ongoing commitment to
give members `Peace of Mind,`" said Tracy Pierson, director of the project
management office at Providence Health Plans. "For example, in 2007, we deployed
a state-wide website providing general access to information about medical
service costs. And a year ago, we deployed a quality scorecard that gives our
members information about the providers in our network. We plan to integrate
this scorecard with the new application for comprehensive transparency."

"The product is very user-friendly, both front-end and the configuration side,"
said Erick Doolen, chief information officer at PacificSource. "We had great
support from TriZetto when needed. When issues were found, they were resolved
quickly. We walked out of training with the tools to configure and trouble-shoot
the entire product, which created a high level of confidence."

Three of the five health plans concurrently implemented TriZetto`s Provider POS
Direct application to enhance relationships with their network providers.
TriZetto`s Provider POS Direct application improves pricing transparency for
physicians in the provider networks of these healthcare payers. Many providers
now can accurately tell a patient how much he or she owes in full for a medical
service and either collect payment at that time or set up a payment plan before
the person leaves the office.

The Provider POS Direct and TCN applications are two of several in TriZetto`s
Constituent Web Solutions suite. Both applications pull from the same data
sources, ensuring that the real-time information is consistent across channels
for providers and members. Such information sharing is crucial to enabling
Integrated Healthcare Management, the systematic application of processes,
shared information and aligned incentives to optimize the coordination of
benefits and care for the healthcare consumer.

"We weren`t surprised when a new TriZetto application was easy and fast to
install, and neither were our customers," added Pinkert. "It`s simply what
TriZetto customers expect from us."
