NetWitness(R) Appoints Vice President of Federal Sales

HERNDON, Va., Aug. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- NetWitness Corporation, the leading

today announced the appointment of Jaci Vilardo as Vice President of Federal
Sales. This appointment strengthens NetWitness' commitment to its rapidly
growing number of federal customers, currently representing the company's
largest customer base.

Ms. Vilardo is an experienced professional with an outstanding sales and sales
management track record in the public sector information security market. As
VP of Federal Sales, she will lead an aggressive expansion of NetWitness'
federal activities that includes doubling the size of the company's dedicated
U.S. Government sales team and sales engineers by the end of 2009. In her
new role, she will also ensure that NetWitness continues to align with the
complex security needs of customer communities throughout the federal
government.

advanced persistent threats faced by many agencies and addressing insider
threat and data leakage concerns - driving many success stories across the
federal government.

Ms. Vilardo has worked for 13 years supporting the IT security requirements of
the public sector, holding key sales and sales management positions at Trident
Data Systems, RipTech and Symantec. Prior to joining NetWitness, Ms. Vilardo
successfully led a team of sales professionals at Symantec supporting public
and commercial sector security service offerings.
