MRV Announces Its 2Q09 Results - Expressive Growth With Exceptional Margins

BELO HORIZONTE, Brazil, Aug. 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- MRV Engenharia e
Participacoes S.A. (Bovespa: MRVE3) announced Friday, August 14, its second
quarter results.
Record in contracted sales: R$851.5 million in 2Q09, a 77.1% growth
compared to 2Q08.
Growth of 41.2% in net operating revenue compared to 2Q08 and 43.0%
compared to 1Q09, reaching a record level of R$389.6 million.
EBITDA of R$97.5 million in the quarter, an increase of 82.2% from 2Q08,
and with a margin of 25.0% (significantly higher than the 19.4% margin of
2Q08).
Completion of the primary shares offering in July 2009 receiving gross
proceeds of around R$595 million. Increase in the free float to 55% and
expansion of the daily trading volume from July 2009 on.
