Books-A-Million, Inc. (NASDAQ:BAMM) today announced that it will provide an
online Web simulcast of its fiscal 2010 second quarter conference call on
Thursday, August 20, 2009. The Company will release results for the second
quarter and six months ended August 1, 2009, that day, after the market's close.

The live broadcast of Books-A-Million's conference call will begin at 5:00 p.m.
Eastern Time (4:00 p.m. Central Time) on August 20, 2009. The link to this event

If you are unable to participate at that time, an online replay will be
available two hours after the call ends and will continue through September 20,
