NEW YORK--(Business Wire)--
City Spec, Inc. today announced that it will begin providing facade inspection
services in the five boroughs of New York through a partnership with MJM
Engineering, PLLC.

The exterior facades of all buildings in NYC that are greater than six stories
in height must be inspected every five years. This includes commercial,
residential, institutional, industrial, and educational buildings irrespective
of the nature of their construction (masonry, glass, stone, brick).
Approximately 12,000 buildings in NYC are covered by this law.

"We are pleased to be partnering with MJM Engineering, PLLC to offer inspections
of building facades throughout New York City," stated Stephen Kleva, president
and CEO of City Spec. He continued, "We have worked in boiler safety inspection
in NYC since 1992, and since then have expanded to elevator and now facade
inspection services. We see this not only as a significant growth opportunity
for our services, but a benefit for our existing customers looking for a single
source of risk management."

"We look forward to working with City Spec in providing facade inspections
throughout NYC," said Marc Levinn, P.E., Senior Partner, MJM Engineering. "In
addition, we are working together to develop an innovative software application
to enable more efficient and accurate data reporting and provide online
availability of inspection information."

Kleva also added, "We are very pleased that Local Law 38 went into effect in
2009 establishing staggered inspection cycles for buildings requiring facade
inspections. This will increase safety for city residents because inspectors and
reviewers will have more time to evaluate each inspection report."

The New York City Department of Buildings Rule 32-03 details the new staggered
inspection cycle and some changes to the filing process. The next Local Law 11
inspection cycle (Cycle 7) begins on February 21, 2010 and runs through February
20, 2015. Buildings are divided into three groups, based on the last digit of
their Block number. To view the complete rule amending Local Law 11; Cycle 7
