CHICAGO, Aug. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- While some people may shy away from buying a
business in the current economy, others are actively looking for the tools to
become a business owner.  Anyone looking to buy a business, and those

in all aspects of business brokerage at the Midwest Business Brokers &
Intermediaries' (MBBI's) annual fall seminar, "Buying a Business During
Uncertain Times." The seminar will take place September 17, 2009 at the
Fountain Blue Banquet and Conference Center, Des Plaines, IL.

MBBI is a non-profit association involved in educating people about buying and
selling businesses.  MBBI is the largest organization of M&A professionals in
the Midwest dedicated to promoting professional and ethical excellence in the
business broker and intermediary community.

The keynote speaker for the seminar is Adolfo Laurenti, Deputy Chief Economist
and Managing Director of Mesirow Financial.  Laurenti has extensive experience
in researching and interpreting key economic indicators and will offer
participants a unique perspective on the current economic landscape.  His
insight can be found in financial publications around the world and he
frequently speaks to professional groups and trade associations across the
United States.

The MBBI seminar is open to members and non-members.  The all-day seminar
begins at 8 a.m. at the Fountain Blue Banquet and Conference Center, 2300 S.
Mannheim Rd., Des Plaines, IL.  The cost is $150 for MBBI members and $175 for
non-members.
