LightPath Technologies Announces Quarterly Conference Call and Change in Date of 2009 Annual Meeting of Shareholders

  ORLANDO, FL, Aug 17 (MARKET WIRE) -- 
LightPath Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: LPTH) today announced that it has
elected to change the date of its Annual Meeting of Shareholders,
originally scheduled for October 2009. The new date of the Annual Meeting
will be in February 2010 and the record date for the determination of
shareholders entitled to notice of and to vote at the Annual Meeting, and
at any adjournment or postponement thereof, will be Mid December 2009.

    LightPath will host a conference call on Thursday, September 24, 2009 at
4:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time to discuss the Company's financial and
operational results for the Fourth Quarter 2009.
