California Pizza Kitchen Opens at Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York

LOS ANGELES--(Business Wire)--
California Pizza Kitchen, Inc. (CPK) (NASDAQ:CPKI), home to the Original BBQ
Chicken Pizza and other innovative hearth-baked pizzas, made-to-order pastas,
creative salads, appetizers, soups, sandwiches and desserts, opened its first
location on a college campus at Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York today.
The new quick-serve location, opened by CPK franchise partner Lackmann Culinary
Services, is located in the university`s Student Center Atrium across from the
bookstore.

Students will be able to order from a specialized selection of CPK`s most
popular pizzas, pastas, salads and Panini sandwiches including the Original BBQ
Chicken and Thai Chicken Pizzas, the Original BBQ Chicken Chopped Salad and
Spaghetti Bolognese. Hours of operation will be Monday through Friday from 11:00
a.m. to 2:00 a.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. After
8:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, students will have the option to pick-up
their order or have it delivered to their dorm room.
